Discovery Velocity

Discovery Velocity measures how quickly exposure turns into actual user finding behavior. It focuses on signals such as organic clicks, branded searches, returning visitors, referral visits, and similar indicators that people are beginning to encounter the entity in the market. If Exposure Velocity describes expanding opportunity, Discovery Velocity describes that opportunity starting to convert into real discovery. It is usually a downstream effect rather than the first leading indicator. In the Digital Karma model, Discovery Velocity follows Exposure Velocity and often precedes stronger authority and acquisition outcomes.

How it differs from exposure

Exposure is about becoming discoverable. Discovery is about users starting to find you. A site can have strong Exposure Velocity before Discovery Velocity accelerates.
