Entity Architecture

Entity architecture is the structured design of entity definitions, relationships, and declarations across a website and digital ecosystem. It is to semantic SEO what information architecture is to user experience design. A well-built entity architecture answers the key questions that AI systems ask when encountering a brand or website: Who is this organization? What does it do? Who runs it? What topics does it cover? What products or services does it offer? How is it related to other known entities? What makes it authoritative? Without deliberate entity architecture, a brand may have inconsistent name representations, unclear role definitions, ambiguous product descriptions, and disconnected content that makes it difficult for knowledge graph systems to build an accurate model of the entity. With deliberate entity architecture, every major entity in the ecosystem is clearly defined, consistently named, and explicitly connected to related entities through structured data and content strategy.
